Dr. Nguyen is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery and Director of Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery at the University of Texas – Memorial Hermann (Houston, Texas). His research interests encompass minimally invasive valve surgery, education, and transcatheter therapies. Recently, he was a recipient of the Houston Business Journal’s top 40 under 40 award, the Benjy F. Brooks Outstanding Clinical Faculty Award 2017, Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Teaching Award, and the Houston Business Journal Healthcare Heroes Award. He is on the Board of Directors for ISMICS and Editorial Board for CTSNet. He’s also on the Program Committee for the STS, STSA, and HVS.
